The story began in 1965, when Mike Baker became a licensed refrigeration mechanic. In 1970, Mike founded Baker Refrigeration Ltd., focusing on commercial refrigeration. By the late 1970s, he expanded into residential air conditioning, seeing the growing need for home comfort solutions. As technology advanced, the company embraced high-efficiency heating systems, and in 2005, the business was renamed Baker Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd. to reflect its full range of heating and cooling services.
Family has always been at the heart of Baker Heating and Air Conditioning. Mike’s sister, Sharon Mullin, was the company’s longtime office manager, guiding operations alongside Mike before retiring during Kevin Baker’s leadership. Mike’s son, Kevin, took over in 2005 and ran the company successfully until 2024. During the first two years of the transition, Kevin mentored Stuart Mullin — Mike’s nephew and Kevin’s cousin — ensuring the family tradition would continue seamlessly.
Since 2024, Stuart and his wife Wendy have proudly owned and operated Baker Heating and Air Conditioning. Stuart has been part of the team since 1991, and now the next generation of the family — Stuart’s children — are also involved in the business. Every employee, whether family or not, is treated like part of the family, and our customers are too.
