Baker Refrigeration Ltd. was established in 1970 by Mike Baker, a young refrigeration mechanic who was first licensed to work in the refrigeration trade in 1965. In 1970, Mike started the company, focusing primarily on commercial refrigeration, but by the late 1970’s he had expanded into the residential air conditioning sector.
Baker Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd. is a family owned and operated business. Formerly known as Baker Refrigeration Ltd., the firm started out strictly as a refrigeration (commercial) and air conditioning (residential) company until 1991. That year Mike Baker foresaw that the future in home comfort included not only cooling but also residential heating needs, which would eventually gravitate towards high efficiency gas heating. Residential high efficiency heating technology was in its infancy at the time, but it was not hard to determine that this was the wave of the future.
As the residential division of Baker Refrigeration Ltd. grew, the company was renamed Baker Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd. in 2005 to more clearly reflect the type of work we were doing.
Although predominantly a residential provider of heating and cooling solutions, we also provide service to commercial clients. Many of our residential clients have been with us through 3, 4 or 5 homes. Many of our commercial customers have been with us for 20 – 30 years.
